Dr. Anil Shah
Dr. Anil Shah first fell in love with dentistry when he was a freshman at New York University. He graduated towards the top of his dental class at NYU and went on to complete his pediatric residency from the reputed university. Dr. Shah specializes in treating patients with special health needs and kids with dental fears. He is trained in Oral Surgery, IV Sedation, General Anesthesia and Interceptive Orthodontics.
His philosophy of inviting parents into the operatory room has been a source of comfort for both children and their parents. He emphasizes prevention and conservative approaches for dental
care. He believes every child is different and requires the utmost attention and detail. His goal is to have every child leave his office free of dental fears and with a smile on his or her face.
Dr. Everest O. Lam
Dr. Lam graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2000. Prior to his dental school Dr. Lam attended University of California where he completed his degree in Biological Sciences in 1990. Dr. Lam went on and attended Hahnemann University Graduate school in Philadelphia, PA. There he completed his MS in Anatomy with emphasis in Molecular and Cellular Genetics. Dr. Lam has over 10 years of experience as a General Dentist and has worked in North Carolina, Texas and Pennsylvania.
Dr. Sixto Garduno Cogollor
Dr. Sixto Garduno was born and raised in the North of Mexico. By his early 20’s he moved to Puerto Rico, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences and graduated Summa Cum Laude at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.
After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree, Dr. Garduno earned his D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree and graduated Cum Laude from the University Of Puerto Rico School Of Dental Medicine in San Juan. Dr. Garduno continued his training at NYU Lutheran AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) program, completing a year of post-graduate education.
Dr. Garduno is fluent in both Spanish and English. He is a member of the A.D.A. (American Dental Association) and the P.D.A. (Pennsylvania Dental Association.) Dr. Garduno is committed to the oral health of his patients, and when he is not practicing dentistry he enjoys going to the movies with his wife and singing Marichi song.
Dr. Sheenam Bhatla
Dr. Bhatla is a graduate of Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She completed her Advanced Standing program in Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2008. After Graduation, Dr. Bhatla moved to Pennsylvania where she has been practicing dentistry. Originally from Punjab, India, she completed her degree in Dental Surgery from Govt. Dental College Amritsar, India. She practiced General Dentistry as an Associate Dentist in a charitable hospital for a couple of years prior to moving to the United States.
Dr. Bhatla is a member of American Dental Association and Pennsylvania Dental Association. Her
area of expertise include all aspects of General Dentistry. She believes in providing a comfortable, friendly environment to her patients. When not in the office Dr. Bhatla enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Dr. Amen Dhyllon
Dr. Amen Dhyllon graduated from the University of Southern California, LA in 2008 with special recognition and honors in Orthodontics and esthetic restorative dentistry. He was able to secure a place in the Dean's list for the entire course of study. He worked as a dental assistant and as an Orthodontic selective for 4 years during his course of attaining DDS under the supervision of Dr Robert Keim (editor-in-chief for JCO). After graduating from USC, he was hand picked by Dr. Robert L.Vanarsdall in the only combined Orthodontic and Periodontic program in the world at the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania. During his Orthodontic and Periodontic training he has maintained a continuous part time practice at Advanced Family Dental. Dr. Dhyllon is board eligible in
both Orthodontics and Periodontics and is a member of AAO, AAP, AAFO, WFO, ADA, ASDA and many other national and international professional associations. He has his share of research and publications and is certified in Invisalign, invisible braces (I braces), LANAP, Micro esthetic surgeries, Andrews Orthodontic Philosophy, Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics (Fast-ortho). Dr. Dhyllon has delivered many beautiful smiles till date and is very popular among his patients. He has a knack of putting his patients at ease and works with each of them to devise their individual treatment plans.
Dr. Jackson Nguyen
Dr. Nguyen grew up in California, where he attended the University of California, Irvine with a major in Biology. With an interest in dentistry, he then went on to attend Temple University School of Dentistry, in which he graduated Summa Cum Laude, and obtained a degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine. Throughout dental school, Dr. Nguyen had a great interest in oral surgery, in which, he further pursue his passion by being accepted and attending Temple University Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program. At his rigorous training program, at Temple University Hospital and Cooper University Hospital, Dr. Nguyen obtained the necessary skills and training for advance trauma and reconstruction, dental alveolar surgery, dental implant surgery, head and neck
pathology, advance and complex bone grafting, orthognathic corrective jaw surgery, and adult and pediatric intravenous sedation.
Dr. Nguyen is currently a member candidate of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and American Dental Association.
Dr. James F. Ripley
Dr. Ripley knew as a sophomore in high school he wanted to be a dentist! He grew up on a western New York farm and the ol’ country dentist never hurt him(much) and always had a nice new car and a long vacation every year. Coming from very humble beginnings with a solid work ethic, the path to SUNY at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine seemed natural.Following dental school, Dr. Ripley served five (5) years in the US Air Force where he took every advantage of the many opportunities to practice and improve his clinical skills in several General Practice Residency formatted clinics during his base assignments. He had early introductions to IV sedation and was tutored by several very influential outstanding surgeons in the Air Force. He left the military as Major and went directly to specialty training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the UTHSC at San Antonio, TX.
He obtained an Internship in Anesthesia and a very solid scope of training in trauma, pathology, orthognathic surgery, bone grafting and surgical and non-surgical management of TMJ patients. After graduating, Dr. Ripley became a Fellow of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and further developed an extensive implantbased reconstructive surgical practice.
Dr. Ripley’s interests are many. Because of a fairly limited math science focus, with little liberal arts background, he has acquired an extensive eclectic personal library with emphasis on Navajo and Western Lore, Peloponnesian War, current affairs and Middle East History. After no longer playing tennis competitively well into his 50s, he I still an avid sports fan, a past Spurs season ticket holder and a slightly better than average fisherman, enjoying fly tying and rod building almost as much as the streams. Irma is his best and most enthusiastic fly fishing buddy and theylove travel, missions, hiking and music.
Dr. Ripley has practiced in many clinic environments and is anxious to provide a full scope of comprehensive clinical services in a state-of-the-art, truly professional, service oriented general dentistry based and multi-specialty supported group practice.
Dr. Mary Chen
Dr. Mary Chen-Huang graduated from the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry. Dr. Chen’s unique personality was shaped from her mixed cultural background; She grew up with Chinese and Venezuelan traditions, followed by influences from diversified cultures in Southern California. Her dental career began when she first started off as a dental assistant. Her dedication to help others grew and she took her training one step further to become a Registered Dental Hygienist. While working as a hygienist, she volunteered on several mobile clinics at school site and communities, where children had limited access to dental care as well as traveled to Nicaragua to help underserved children. Seeing so many children in need, she knew she wanted to do even more to help, and thus made the decision to pursue her doctorate degree in dentistry.
After finishing her degree, Dr. Chen decided to leave sunny California and raise her family in the fluffy white snow of Pennsylvania. Her passion for working with children led her to mainly practicing on the pediatric population. With every visit, Dr. Chen focuses on providing a safe and pleasant experience for the child and his/her parents. She believes every child has a unique personality and laugher and her goal is to help every child feeling happy with his/her smile. She is fluent in Spanish and loves singing!
